Job Description

2nd Line Support Engineer required. Our client is a solutions based company that focuses on delivering the correct technical solution for the client that integrates into their business and future operations. They provide IT services to over 180 hotels across the UK. Not only do they provide IT Support – they also specialise in CCTV, Wi-Fi, Phone systems and many more. 

 

They are now looking for an experienced 2nd Line support engineer to join their head office based in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will need experience in general IT desktop-based support and a full UK driving license. 

 

Position Overview

 

  • Installing and Implementing IT solutions and services 
  • Providing proactive & reactive IT assistance, sometimes remotely and other times at the hotel themselves
  • Writing up internal & customer documentation as required
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers, escalating issues as appropriate
  • Logging and resolving IT issues within the SLA
  • Undertake on-site visits to customers in the South and London areas
  • Out of hours IT Support cover – for critical issues (on call rota)

 

Position Requirements

 

  • Full UK Driving License
  • Experience using Active Directory
  • Knowledge in Windows Operating Systems
  • 2/3 years in a similar role
  • Experience in vSphere, ESXi, Office 365 networking/LAN, Mitel, 3CX Hotel PMS & POS Systems – Not essential
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Flexible 

Position Remuneration

 

  • Monday to Friday 9:00am – 18:00pm hour lunch
  • Office based unless needed to visit one of their customers
  • Salary £22,000 – 32,000 DOE
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays
