Job Description

1st/2nd Line Support Technician required. Our client is a privately owned and highly successful Logistics, Construction and Maintenance business, employing over 2,000 people in the UK. They are now looking for an experienced 1st/2nd Line Technician to join their IT team of 6, based in Paisley. 

The successful candidate will be working with the in-house IT team to maintain the infrastructure of our communications, networking and collaborative tools and processes. Customer service skills are essential as well as excellent knowledge of Azure. 

Position Overview 

  • Act as a point of contact for calls / emails from staff regarding IT issues
  • Receiving, logging and managing calls from internal staff in person or via email
  • Troubleshooting of IT related problems from in-house software to hardware. 
  • Troubleshoot network issues
  • Take ownership of calls and provide on-site support
  • Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries
  • Liaise with in-house technical and operational staff pro-actively. 
  • Manage endpoint device deployment including configuration and asset updates. 

Position Requirements

  • 3+ years in 1st/2nd line support
  • Excellent knowledge of Azure
  • Excellent knowledge of Office 365
  • Experience working with Cetrix
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of PC hardware & software
  • Self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Position Remuneration

  • Monday to Friday 8am – 17:00pm / 9am – 18:00pm
  • Salary £21,000 – £27,000 (dependant on experience)
  • 28 days holiday including bank holiday
